Contract Manufacturing Solutions

The driving force
behind your
production line

Turn production targets into dependable output, shift after shift.

Production challenge

A production plan is only as strong as its execution

An unready workstation, a missing kit or a recurring defect can put the entire shift behind. Recovering the schedule requires control over the work at each stage and clear responsibility when performance slips.

As your contract manufacturing company, we coordinate production, supervision, quality checks and corrective action to address the gaps that hold your line back.

Production capabilities

Managing the production line and the activities that keep it moving

The activities below are coordinated within the line or segment entrusted to Layam. When a function is required independently, it is assessed as a Job Contract engagement.

The Layam Way

A company within your company

A dedicated Layam site manager coordinates operators, supervisors, quality and support teams within your plant. We run the assigned operation inside your production system, with clear leadership, daily control and accountability for its results.

The Layam Way

From handover to steady state

01

Set the handover boundary

You provide product design, technology, plant infrastructure, equipment and the agreed material inputs. Layam provides the team, supervision and operating management for the assigned scope. Together, we define production volumes, model mix, acceptance standards, dependencies and escalation routes before the operation starts.

Performance measures

Manufacturing excellence measured on the shop floor

Manufacturing excellence depends on identifying losses and correcting their causes. We use work studies, line balancing, 5S and Kaizen to address constraints within the operation. Reviews examine people, machines, materials and methods; agreed changes are checked for effectiveness before becoming part of routine work.

Case study

From recurring defects to stronger first-pass performance

In a commercial-vehicle chassis assembly and vehicle-testing engagement, Layam’s quality teams addressed defects across assembly and inspection stages. The work combined stage-wise checks, Pareto analysis to prioritise defects, root-cause correction and feedback to the operation.

Commercial vehicle chassis assembly line

The team contained defects at the point of detection and addressed their recurring causes. The engagement delivered the following improvements:

89% to 96%Straight pass ratio
0.46 to 0.14Defects per axle
37% to 85%Firewall straight pass rate
Results relate to this engagement and its operating conditions.

Industry applications

Execution shaped by the product and the production environment

Each production environment has different demands for sequencing, quality control and material flow. We assess the line or segment to be managed, its acceptance standards and its dependencies before defining responsibility for delivery.

Assembly sequence, part fitment and functional verification must hold across changing model mixes. Layam supports chassis and vehicle operations through agreed production activities, incoming inspection, line quality, end-of-line checks and material feeding.

Frequently asked questions

Your contract manufacturing questions, answered

Manufacturing specialists discussing production

In Layam’s delivery model, contract manufacturing covers a connected production line or segment, with responsibility for output, quality and productivity. Job Contract covers a defined task or function. Managing an assembly segment through its included quality checks is contract manufacturing; independently managing incoming inspection is Job Contract. The distinction is delivery responsibility, not headcount.
